If you’ve made a booking through idealista and, for any reason, need to cancel and request a refund, please note the following:
- If your Booking Request has been accepted by the advertiser, please remember that idealista charges the first month’s rent and the Service Fee. From that moment, if you request a cancellation within 24 hours of acceptance, you’ll receive a 100% refund of the rent amount. However, the idealista Service Fee is non-refundable.
- If more than 24 hours have passed, the refund will depend on the cancellation policy of your booking: Flexible, Standard, Strict or Non-refundable. For more information about these policies, we recommend checking “How do the cancellation policies work for tenants?”
Please note that the cancellation policy appears both on the listing and in your booking details. Likewise, when you request the cancellation from your profile, you’ll be able to see whether you’re entitled to a refund and the amount you’ll receive.
Once you’ve completed the cancellation and confirmed that a refund applies, the amount is normally credited to your bank account within three working days. However, if your payment was made in a currency other than euros, this period may be extended to up to five working days, depending on your bank.
