Spanish billionaires saw their fortunes increase by 21.5% in 2025, to $213.1 billion (€182.6 billion), while eight more people acquired ultra-rich status, bringing the total to 32.

According to the latest edition of UBS's 'Billionaire Ambitions 2025' report, the richest Spaniards added $11.6 billion (€9.94 billion) to the national wealth, driven by the performance of some of the country's leading entrepreneurs and a greater concentration of family wealth.

It is worth noting, in particular, that Amancio Ortega 's net worth increased by $21 billion (€17.995 billion), reaching $124 billion (€106.254 billion). This amount represents 58.2% of the total wealth of Spain's billionaires.

UBS has warned that the more than $162 billion (€138.815 billion) in wealth transfers expected over the next 15 years in Spain highlight the need to strengthen long-term planning , family governance and discipline in succession processes.

In a context of increasingly international families and more complex fortunes, the entity has indicated that the challenge for Spain's great fortunes lies in combining the preservation of legacy with the empowerment of the next generation and greater attention to the social impact of billionaires.
