The Italian luxury brand Bulgari, part of the French LVMH group, has confirmed plans to open its first high-end hotel in Madrid, now scheduled for 2030 after a delay in initial projections. The property will be in the Sevilla area, directly opposite the Four Seasons Hotel, operating since 2020, according to sources cited by Economía Digital.
While Bulgari has not released official details, the project aligns with its strategy of expanding in key luxury tourism destinations, as Madrid strengthens its position in the premium hotel sector.
The Sevilla area is emerging as the new hub for luxury accommodation in the capital, attracting international chains to what some analysts already describe as Madrid’s “golden mile” of high-end hotels, rivalling the prestige of the traditional Salamanca district.
In addition to Bulgari’s planned hotel, the Sevilla district hosts other major investment projects. At Plaza de Canalejas, the family behind Pescaderías Coruñesas is developing the Madrid Teatro complex, a luxury hotel featuring 70 rooms, fine-dining restaurants and private performances, in partnership with Universal Music Hotels.
Alongside these projects, Madrid continues to attract high-end hotel and leisure investments. The established Four Seasons and the forthcoming W Hotel by Millennium Socimi are helping transform the city centre into a global hub for premium tourism.
Bulgari’s Madrid project reflects years of careful site selection, aiming to match the prestige and exclusivity the brand maintains in capitals such as Paris, London and Rome.
