Agua Amarga Beach fronts a small village of whitewashed houses located within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. Its light-coloured sand, calm waters and the arid mountains surrounding the bay create one of the most recognisable landscapes in eastern Almería.

At around 500 metres in length, it retains a pleasant atmosphere even during the busiest months of the year. From the shoreline, visitors can reach the village's terraces, restaurants and accommodation within just a few minutes.

At the foot of the Sierra Cabrera, Marina de la Torre occupies the northern end of the Mojácar coastline. It is a beach of coarse sand and fine gravel, offering views to the south of the whitewashed village of Mojácar Pueblo perched on the mountainside.

The surroundings are more orderly and residential than other parts of Mojácar Playa. The area features a promenade, a range of accommodation options and a golf course located almost on the seafront. It also benefits from its proximity to Garrucha.

San José grew around a sheltered bay and maintains a close relationship with the sea. Its main beach stretches alongside the promenade and marina, with a gentle slope into the water and a wide range of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is one of the liveliest spots in Cabo de Gata.

The location also makes the town an excellent base for exploring some of the natural park's most famous attractions. From here, visitors can easily access the beaches of Genoveses and Mónsul.

To the north of the town of Carboneras lies Las Marinicas, a spacious beach overlooking the islet of San Andrés. Stretching for around one and a half kilometres, it offers plenty of space for visitors to settle comfortably. Its dark sand and the arid coastal landscape create a distinctive setting.

It is a practical choice for spending several hours by the sea, thanks to its promenade, easy access and seasonal summer services. Its southern end connects directly with the town, allowing visitors to continue on foot towards the harbour and town centre.

El Playazo stretches along one of the widest and most open sections of the Vera coastline. Its generous dimensions ensure a feeling of spaciousness even during the height of summer, while the absence of major geographical features allows for uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean.

Much of the municipality's holiday accommodation is concentrated around this beach. It is also one of the areas most closely associated with naturism in Spain, particularly in certain sections.

Venta del Bancal-Ventanicas is located in the southern part of Mojácar, where the urban landscape gradually gives way to the foothills of the Sierra Cabrera. This wide beach extends for more than a kilometre and combines stretches of sand with small pebbles.

Although it offers restaurants, beach bars and easy access from the coastal road, its atmosphere is generally less urban than El Cantal. Further south, buildings become less prominent as cliffs and small coves begin to dominate the landscape.

Aguadulce boasts one of the most complete urban beaches in the province. Its long shoreline stretches from the marina to the vicinity of the Cañuelo stream, accompanied by a promenade that becomes particularly busy on summer evenings.

The seafront is lined with cafés, ice cream parlours and restaurants, while the marina serves as the focal point for much of the town's leisure activity. Its proximity to both Almería city and Roquetas de Mar also makes it an easy addition to any itinerary along the province's western coastline.

San Miguel de Cabo de Gata lies in front of the village of Cabo de Gata, on the eastern edge of the Bay of Almería. It is a long, straight beach of sand and small pebbles, characterised by its open views and expansive horizon. Fishing boats pulled up alongside the houses and restaurants specialising in fresh seafood are among its most distinctive features.

Just a few kilometres away are the Cabo de Gata salt flats, where flamingos and aquatic bird species can be observed from several viewing points. From here, the road continues towards the lighthouse, the Sirens' Reef and the dramatic coastal cliffs.
