According to the Holiday Money Report 2021, conducted by Post Office Travel Money, a sunny break in Spain this summer doesn't have to break the bank. Looking at 8 categories, including the costs of a bottle of water, a coffee, a soft drink, a beer, dinner for two complete with a bottle of wine, a glass of wine, insect repellent and sun cream, along with help from national and regional tourist boards, it has been concluded that the cheapest place to go on holiday in Spain is the Costa del Sol. This popular area in the Malaga province of Spain takes 5th place in the European ranking behind other popular holiday resorts in Bulgaria, Turkey, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
