Cristiano Ronaldo's new hotel in Gran Vía Madrid, Pestana CR7 Gran Vía Madrid, opens its doors after an investment of 13 million euros, in a 'soft-opening' format, coinciding with the easing of coronavirus restrictions and the reactivation of tourism and hospitality activity in Spain on 7th June 2021.
This is the first hotel of the flagship Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels outside Portugal, following the success of its hotels in Lisbon and Funcha, Madeiral. It is also the chain's second hotel in Madrid, after Pestana Plaza Mayor, which belongs to its Pestana Collection Hotels brand.
Occupying number 29 in Madrid's main shopping street, Gran Vía, and with an investment of 13 million euros, this 1923 building will have 168 rooms distributed over 10 floors, 2 of which will be destined to a terrace bar and solarium with swimming pool.
The 9th floor of CR7, open to the public, will house the hotel's gastronomic offer, which includes a sports bar, a pizzeria and the only rooftop with 360º views in the capital, an area which will also be home to a plunge pool.
According to the press release, the values of sport also have a "very important" presence in Ronaldo's new hotel, and for this reason the hotel has a fitness box and will promote an extensive programme of training and sports activities.
