The travel website TripAdvisor has published the Travellers' Choice Beaches, an award where they select the best beaches in Europe. In this ranking the ten most beautiful coasts of the continent are chosen and this year two of them are in Spain.
The positions are awarded based on the comments and opinions left by travellers on the website over the last 12 months.
The two Spanish locations that have been awarded are in Mallorca and Fuerteventura and in this article we will tell you a little more about the particularities that make them the most voted in Europe, as well as showing you some properties for sale near each of them.
Muro Beach in Mallorca

On the island of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, we can find the spectacular Muro Beach, which occupies almost six kilometres of the natural park of s'Albufera. Its calm, vibrant turquoise waters stretch along the bay of Alcúdia. It is a perfect beach to go alone or with the family.
Due to its large size, it is divided into several areas, from quieter stretches to areas where water sports are practised. It is equipped with wooden walkways, car parks and all kinds of facilities and restaurants.
Sotavento Beach in Fuerteventura

In the southeast of the island of Fuerteventura, in the archipelago of the Canary Islands, we can find the beach of Sotavento, in Costa Calma. It is actually five unspoilt beaches that can be explored as one. With its large dunes and shallow, crystal-clear waters, this beach is more than 10 kilometres long. It is an area where it is quite windy, making it perfect for windsurfing. Costa Calma is located in the area of Pájara, a section of the island full of beautiful fincas just a few minutes from the beach.
