Enjoying the sun and sea with your pet is becoming increasingly easy in the province of Valencia. Dog-friendly beaches are now a popular choice for those who prefer not to leave their four-legged friends behind. Discover some of the best pet-friendly beaches in Valencia, where you and your dog can relax, play and make the most of the Mediterranean coast together.

Pinedo Beach (Valencia)

This dog-friendly beach in Valencia city, located at the edge of the port, features a designated area exclusively for dogs and their owners, and is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

One of its main advantages is its proximity to the city centre, making it a convenient option for locals and visitors alike. It’s also worth noting that this is the only dog-friendly beach in the Valencian capital, as Malvarrosa Beach or any other beach within the city limits do not permit dogs.

Torreta-Santa Elvira Beach (El Puig)

Torreta–Santa Elvira Beach, located in the town of El Puig, around 20 kilometres north of Valencia, has a designated dog-friendly area next to the Barranc del Puig since 2016, making it a great spot to swim with your dog.

This 100-metre-long, 50-metre-wide beach of sand and pebbles is ideal for those seeking a quieter, less crowded alternative to other dog-friendly beaches in the province. While it lacks additional facilities, it offers a peaceful, natural setting and is rarely frequented by beachgoers without pets.

Alboraya Dog Beach

The Alboraya Dog Beach, situated to the north of Valencia, is one of the province’s official dog-friendly beaches and offers an accessible, convenient option for pet owners. Previously located at Els Peixets Beach, it has now been relocated to the southern end of Port Saplaya.

Although relatively small, this beach provides a pleasant and welcoming environment where dogs can run freely, play and cool off in the sand, making it a popular choice among local and visiting dog owners.
