Miguel de Cervantes, the "most illustrious resident of the Barrio de las Letras," has inspired the aesthetics of the emblematic building's transformation, developed by architects Adriana and Alvaro Sans, of Estudio ASAH.

The Casa de las Artes Meliá Collection hotel honours the seven arts with décor showcasing Gustave Doré's engravings from the 1869 edition of Don Quixote, displayed in all 137 guest rooms and suites.
