Colliers celebrates 20 years in Spain, a period in which the real estate consultancy has grown from a single office to an established Iberian platform, now comprising six headquarters and over 180 professionals across Spain and Portugal.
Since entering the Spanish market in 2006, Colliers has experienced steady growth, becoming a leading player in sectors such as capital markets, hotels and data centres. In 2025, it achieved a record market share in both the hotel and data centre segments.
Under the leadership of Mikel Echavarren, president and CEO of Colliers Iberia, the company has increased regional revenue eightfold over the past six years. During this period, it has advised on landmark transactions in the Spanish real estate market, including the purchase of Mare Nostrum Resort Tenerife, valued at approximately €430 million, and the acquisition of Nabiax, one of Spain’s leading data centre operators.
Looking ahead, Colliers aims to further strengthen its growth in Spain and Portugal, focusing strategically on capital markets, debt advisory, valuations and a boutique approach in sectors such as office, industrial and architectural leasing, responding to evolving market and investor demands.
At a global level, Colliers is a professional services and investment management firm with over 24,000 employees and approximately $108 billion in assets under management. It operates through a diversified model combining real estate consultancy, investment management and corporate services.
