The current owners of Casa do Santo, José António, Maria do Rosário and Nicolau Pinheiro da Veiga, started a Douro and Port DOC wine production project in 2016, having planted some of the noblest Portuguese grape varieties, namely Touriga Nacional, Viosinho and Rabigato, in the estate's vineyards. They dreamed about restoring a house on the property, transforming it into this rural retreat.
