Resa, the university residence operator, will open a new hall of residence in Madrid at the start of the 24/25 academic year. Resa Chamartín joins the company's network of 40 student residences located in 21 Spanish cities, offering more than 11,000 rooms.

Resa Chamartín will have a total built surface area of nearly 11,300 m2 and 320 beds, distributed in single and double studios – some of them will have a terrace, and all of them will have their own kitchen – and clusters of four and six rooms with a communal living room and kitchen. Like all its assets, it will have a 24-hour security service.

In addition, new residents will have spacious communal areas with study rooms, a gym, a dining room, laundry, a garden, terraces, parking and a rooftop with a water and relaxation area. Resa Chamartin is expected to obtain Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM) certification, the most technically advanced method for assessing and certifying building sustainability and a world leader with the most certified projects.

With this new addition, Resa has nine assets in Madrid, 41 in Catalonia, Andalusia, Castile and Leon, the Basque Country, Galicia, Navarre and the Valencian Community, and more than 11,300 beds.
"Opening Resa Chamartin is a new milestone for us, as it allows us to reinforce our presence in one of the cities with the most university appeal in a prime location. We are not only concerned by the assets but aim to create a unique, welcoming experience from the moment the resident walks through the doors until their last day at university. For this reason, in addition to the wide range of services, they will have StudentLife – a powerful integration programme, including sports, leisure and cultural activities, whose ultimate aim is to enhance student life within the Resa network of halls of residence," says Tatiana Aneiros, Resa's Director of Operations.

StudentLife, the company's unique value

Resa has a turnover rate of over 40%, an 8.8 satisfaction rating and a 91% recommendation rate. Resa is committed to creating a welcoming and unique experience, from the moment the resident walks through the doors until their last day at university, through StudentLife: a solid integration programme, including sports, leisure and cultural activities, whose ultimate aim is to enhance student life within Resa's network of halls of residence. In 2022, this programme was awarded Best Resident Well-being Programme at The Class Awards. The company also obtained this recognition in 2017, confirming the good work carried out over the years, ensuring students' physical and mental well-being. Resa's residents rated the StudentLife programme 8.9 out of 10.

As part of its holistic health policy, this year Resa has implemented an anti-bullying protocol for all residences. This protocol covers not only the students but also the staff of the centres and the providers.
