Primavera Sound Barcelona 2026 disruptions

Primavera Sound Barcelona 2026 took place in early June, but severe weather disrupted part of the programme. On Thursday evening, organisers cancelled several performances after heavy rain and strong gusts of wind.

Sets by Alex G were pulled earlier in the evening, and later headline performances including Massive Attack and Doja Cat were also cancelled for safety reasons.

Mad Cool 2026

8–11 July 2026 – Madrid

Foo Fighters, Moby, Florence and the Machine and Twenty One Pilots top the bill. Based in Madrid, it’s one of Spain’s biggest urban festivals, with multiple large stages and a polished set-up. The atmosphere leans mainstream and international, with easy access via public transport rather than campsite mud.

Bilbao BBK Live 2026

9–11 July 2026 – Kobetamendi, Bilbao (20th anniversary edition)

The site sits on a hillside overlooking Bilbao, surrounded by greenery, which gives it a relaxed but scenic feel. The festival strikes a balance between major headliners and alternative acts.

30 July–2 August 2026 – Burriana, Valencia province

Myke Towers, Omar Montes and Delaossa are among the confirmed artists. Set directly by the sea, the festival mixes urban, Latin and mainstream pop with beach parties and large campsite areas. It’s one of the most youth-oriented festivals on the calendar.

Sónar Festival 2026

18–20 June 2026 – Barcelona

Nia Archives, Chris Stussy, Joy Orbison and Kelis are among the first confirmed acts. Held across central Barcelona venues by day and larger spaces by night, Sónar blends electronic music with digital art and technology. The crowd is international and creative, with a strong industry presence alongside serious club heads.

7–9 August 2026 – Barcelona

Cassius, Gigi Ros, Biig Piig and Kaytranada are confirmed. This electronic-focused event moves between outdoor and city venues, keeping things compact rather than sprawling. The vibe is more curated and club-driven than the bigger mainstream festivals.

Resurrection Fest

1–4 July 2026 – Viveiro, Galicia

Iron Maiden, Limp Bizkit and Marilyn Manson headline this four-day rock and metal gathering in northern Spain. The setting is coastal Galicia, close to dramatic cliffs and beaches, which gives it a slightly wilder feel than city-based festivals. Benicàssim Festival (FIB) 2026

16–18 July 2026 – Benicàssim, Castellón

Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks and The Prodigy lead the 2026 line-up. FIB takes place close to the Mediterranean, and many festival-goers combine it with beach time during the day. It draws a strong international crowd, particularly from the UK.
