Lamine Yamal is not only dazzling with the ball at his feet – he has now taken YouTube by storm as well. The FC Barcelona winger, one of international football’s brightest sensations at just 18, has launched his own channel on the platform, surprising millions of followers with his debut video: a house tour of the flat where he lived for the past few years before moving to his new home.
In a relaxed, friendly tone, Yamal takes viewers through the rooms of his home – a spacious duplex with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living-dining area and a terrace – decorated in a minimalist, functional style. As he moves from room to room, he shares anecdotes and personal preferences, revealing, for instance, that everything in his home has to smell of vanilla, a signature touch repeated throughout thanks to air fresheners he selects himself.
The video, published in late December 2025, amassed millions of views in just a few days and quickly began trending on the platform, a success that surprised even many of his most devoted fans. “This has been my home for the past few years,” Yamal says in the video, encouraging viewers to subscribe and promising to show his new home once he reaches a certain number of followers.
That new home is anything but ordinary. Over the past year, Yamal has been expanding his property portfolio and, after investing in several homes – including properties for his family – he has acquired one of the most high-profile residences in the Barcelona metropolitan area: Shakira and Gerard Piqué's former residence in Esplugues de Llobregat. Built in 2012 and set on nearly 4,000 square metres of land, the estate stands out for its modern architecture, expansive gardens, swimming pool and multiple leisure and sports areas, and has become a symbol of the young player’s new status.
Yamal plans to adapt the property to suit his life as an elite athlete, incorporating training areas, a private gym and advanced security systems to ensure privacy and comfort. Its proximity to FC Barcelona’s training facilities and to his team-mates was also a decisive factor in his choice.
More than just a house tour, the video offers a glimpse into the personal side of one of football’s brightest young talents, showing how – despite his age – Yamal has built a lifestyle beyond the pitch and found a new way to connect with his followers in the digital sphere.
