A campsite set in a pine forest

Located in Alaior, the site extends across 70,000 m2 of pine forest and green spaces. Its main attraction lies in how seamlessly it blends into its natural surroundings. The pitches are spread among the trees, providing both privacy and a close connection with nature.

Although it is not located directly on the coast, its inland setting is part of its appeal. It is relatively close to both Maó and Ciutadella, two of Menorca's most important destinations.

In addition, Son Bou beach, one of the largest sandy beaches on the island's southern coast, is just a three-minute drive away. Close enough for a morning swim before returning to the campsite for lunch.

From the campsite shop to your bungalow, all within the same pine forest

The complex offers a total of 161 accommodation units, including 111 pitches of up to 80 m2 for tents, caravans and motorhomes.

It also provides bungalows, chalets and glamping tents, some of which are named after iconic locations around Menorca:

  • Macarella, Turqueta, Mitjana and Galdana, inspired by beaches on the southern coast.
  • Pregonda and Cavalleria, named after locations on the northern coast.
  • Glamping Safari Torralba, a 45 m2 tent designed for four or five guests.

What's new this season at Son Bou campsite?

This season sees the addition of new Binisafari and Glamping Torralba units, as well as more Cavalleria bungalows. Among the latest additions is a Binisafari accommodation unit adapted for guests with reduced mobility.

The campsite has also improved:

  • Electrical connections on the plots.

  • The WiFi network.

  • The sports facilities.

These additions further enhance an already varied accommodation offering, designed to suit everyone from traditional campers to guests seeking fully equipped lodging. The adapted accommodation also broadens accessibility options within the complex.

A 450 m2 swimming pool

The campsite features a leisure area centred around a 450 m2 outdoor swimming pool, as well as a separate children's pool.

The children's pool includes a small slide and, like the main pool, is surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. A dedicated sunbathing area is also available.

Activities for every age group

The Babies, Kids, Juniors and Teens clubs organise activities tailored to different age groups:

  • Padel.

  • Aquagym.

  • Outdoor games.

  • Entertainment.

  • Shows.

This means parents and children can enjoy different activities throughout the day while remaining only a short distance from one another.

From beaches to prehistoric heritage

Heading towards the coast from the campsite, you'll reach the Camí de Cavalls, the historic coastal path that follows much of Menorca's shoreline.

Inland, you'll find the Naveta des Tudons, one of the island's most important prehistoric burial monuments.

If you decide to venture further afield, both Ciutadella and Maó are well worth a visit.

These varied attractions make it easy to use the campsite as a base for exploring Menorca.

For those who prefer to stay on site, the campsite also offers a restaurant, pizzeria, bar, bakery, supermarket and laundry facilities. Bicycle, kayak and vehicle hire can be arranged, and excursions can be booked directly at the campsite.

How long is the Son Bou campsite open?

In 2026, the campsite welcomes guests between 30 April and 12 October, with the peak season running between 4 July and 28 August. This extended opening period of almost six months reflects Menorca's appeal beyond the traditional summer holiday season.
