A British property website specialising in real estate raffles is raffling off two properties in the south of the island of Tenerife for the modest price of £2.50, about 3€ if converted to euros with the current exchange rate. The two properties up for grabs in the Canary Islands are chalets owned by UK citizens who have opted for this peculiar method of selling their properties, a method which is not very common in Spain.
Both owners are reported to want to leave their respective homes in Tenerife after spending several years residing in the Canary Island with their families. However, with the inevitable growing up of children who are going to study in the United Kingdom, the families have made the decision to return to Britain. One of the couples has also stated that they instead plan to buy a smaller property in Tenerife as a holiday home so that they can continue to visit the island in the years to come.
Both homes are villas located in tourist developments on the Adeje coast, are spacious with 4 bedrooms, large living rooms and terraces with garden areas.
The draw for the first property began in September and at the end of this 2020, the lucky winner will be announced. The second property raffle has just got underway, beginning on 16th November 2020, and will run until 16th March 2021. In each case, 260,000 and 230,000 raffle tickets have been put up for sale respectively, while each property is said to be valued at over 430,000 euros.
