As part of Construtec and International Construction Week, IFEMA Madrid will host the First Spanish Home Staging and Real Estate Marketing Forum on Friday 8 November. The event will bring together Spain's leading experts in the field and feature two of the world's leading home staging experts: Barb Schwarz, the creator and inventor of home staging, and Sanja Radovanovic, the president of the European Association of Home Staging Professionals (EAHSP).
It is the first time that an event of this kind will be held in Spain, due to the innovative nature of the subject matter and the fact that it is a national event that transcends our borders. The Forum has the support of Spain's two home staging associations: the Spanish Home Staging Association (AHSE) and the Spanish Delegation of the European Association of Home Staging Professionals (EAHSP), as well as the EAHSP itself on an international level.
It also has the support of the main real estate associations such as the Spanish and Madrid employers' associations, the Federation of Real Estate Business Associations (Fadei) and the Madrid Association of Real Estate Companies (Amadei); the Association of Independent Real Estate Consultants (ASCISI); the International Real Estate Federation (Fiabci), and the Association of Women Real Estate Professionals (AMPSI), whose respective chairs will speak at a round table to discuss the sector's outlook.
The Community of Madrid and the Ministry of Housing
The Forum also has backing from the institutions and public administrations. It will be opened by the Community of Madrid's Deputy Minister for Housing, Transport and Infrastructures, José María García Gómez, and closed by a representative of the Ministry of Housing and the Urban Agenda (to be confirmed).
Home staging is a real estate marketing technique created in the United States in the 1970s by Barb Schwarz. It consists of staging homes before they are marketed and launched on the real estate market, renewing their image through a makeover using decorative objects and furniture, to make them as attractive as possible for sale or rental.
The main objective of the Forum is to promote and extend the use of this powerful real estate marketing tool, "which can revolutionise the real estate market. Whoever has tried it, knows that and uses it again, because old properties or those presented in any old way, which have been sitting on real estate portals for months or even years, are sold in a month at most when they are prepared with Home Staging," says Arroyo.
In addition to the various presentations, the First Spanish Home Staging and Real Estate Marketing Forum will include a round table dedicated to investors and entrepreneurs who use home staging for their renovations and house flipping projects, and a round table discussion featuring spokespersons from some of Spain's leading real estate consultancies and agencies.
