The mayor of Málaga announces a plan with 17,000 new homes
The mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, has unveiled a municipal housing plan for 17,000 new homes, including 10,000 subsidised units. These are set to be built during the next term, 2027–2031. Among them are 1,500 “mini-flats,” initially planned at 35–45 m² but now increased to 45–60 m². De la Torre also confirmed that over 5,000 units will be completed before the end of this current term.
