The challenge of electric mobility finds an obstacle in the impossibility of many households to install an electric charger for their vehicle in a space on their property. More than half of the homes in Spain (55%) do not have a private parking space where they can install an EV charging system, according to an idealista study. The provinces of Malaga and Pontevedra (both with more than 60%) have the biggest residential park with a garage for EV charging points, while Madrid (40%) and Barcelona (30%) remain below the national average.
