A coat of paint
It's one of those basic maintenance tasks that any home needs and that will definitely cost you less than 1,000 euros. By simply changing the color of the walls you will notice a big difference in your living space.
But if you want a more eye-catching change without breaking the budget, focus on the main room. Use decorative paint or put up wallpaper to highlight one of the walls of the room as a feature wall. Or you can simply remove that old-fashioned gotelé and apply a smooth coat of paint instead.
New floors
Our flooring can suffer especially hard from general wear and tear, and renovating them doesn't need a small fortune. For less than 1,000 euros the best solution is to put down self-adhesive vinyl tiles or slats. They are available in countless models, even almost perfectly imitating wood, stone or hydraulic tile. Your house will look completely different with a new surface beneath your feet.
You can also do the same thing we suggested with painting: focus on the living room. It is the room that is seen the most and one of the ones that suffers the most. If you don't want to blow out on the whole house, you can always just fix up the floor here and put down, for example, a beautiful laminate or parquet floor.
Brand new bathroom
In a bathroom, 1,000 euros go a long way, but where to start? For one, you can substitute a bathtub for a shower. It is a simple and fast renovation with which you can reclaim valuable floorspace. And besides, the shower will be easier to keep clean!
But there are also other improvements that can be made with a tight budget: changing the toilets for more current models, replacing the old furniture and taps or painting the tiles with a special enamel and putting down a vinyl floor. If you also do up the countertop, the sink and the tap, you will have a brand new kitchen for less than you might think.
Another idea is to unify spaces. When kitchen and living room are only separated by a partition, with 1,000 euros you could remove it and bring both of the spaces together. New doors

If you have not done so, make the switch to LED; the investment will pay for itself in savings in no time. But, if you want to go further with your budget of 1,000 euros, you could afford to put in a false ceiling in the living room and recess some spotlights or install some indirect lights.
Don't forget the terrace
With 1,000 euros you can make your terrace become that little oasis where you can enjoy the spring sun or summer nights. How? Put down a new natural or synthetic flooring, give the space a coat of paint, hang some string lights and lay out some basic furniture.
And there you have it, with less than 1,000 euros you can give your home a brand new look, by making small improvements that don't require much work and that you will finish in a very short time.
