idealista hosted its first "Welcome Back by idealista" tournament on 8 October at the Real Club de Golf las Brisas, on the Costa del Sol. Club members and a limited number of idealista clients attended the event, enjoying a magnificent day of sport at this exclusive club, considered the fifth best in Spain and 24th in Europe.
The tournament had a distinct international influence, in keeping with a club such as Las Brisas, which has members of more than 30 nationalities, most of whom live a large part of the year on the Costa del Sol. One hundred players took part, proving their high competitive level on the course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr in perfect harmony with the landscaping created by the Englishman Gerald Huggan.
At the end of the course and after a lunch involving all the players, the prize-giving ceremony took place, among which Ritta Backman, Marcus Backman, Jane Nevasuo and Mervi Nevasuo were announced as the winners of the Scramble category.
Francisco Iñareta, spokesman for idealista, commented, "Hosting this tournament has been a new step forward in our strategy to help all those people looking for a home in Spain, particularly foreigners living on the Costa del Sol, by showing them all the facilities that idealista offers to help them find their new home in Spain.
