All Iron RE I Socimi and Líbere Hospitality Group (LHG) have inaugurated a new building in the heart of Málaga city centre, comprising 23 tourist apartments. The property is owned by the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), which acquired it in 2021 for €11.2 million, while its management and day‑to‑day operations are handled by the operator specialising in short‑ and medium‑stay accommodation.

The property is located at 13 Calle Correo Viejo in the central Plaza del Siglo and offers a total built area of 2,159 m² across five floors.

It comprises seven studios, seven one‑bedroom flats and nine two‑bedroom units. The building also includes two ground‑floor commercial premises totalling around 500 square metres, both currently operating as restaurants – one of which previously housed the Málaga headquarters of the People's party (Partido Popular, in Spanish).

More than four years after its acquisition, the asset has undergone a full interior refurbishment to adapt it to its new use, while preserving the original structure and its distinctive façade, representative of the region’s regionalist architecture. In 2010, the building was converted into a mixed‑use property combining offices and residential units, and has since established itself as one of Málaga’s most centrally located tourist assets – just minutes on foot from landmarks such as Calle Larios, the Cathedral, the Picasso Museum and Muelle Uno.

Expansion Líbere Hospitality Group

With this opening, Líbere Hospitality Group strengthens its position in Málaga – described by the operator as one of Spain’s fastest‑growing cities in terms of tourism and investment, which has established itself as a leading urban destination.

The new asset brings the group’s Málaga portfolio to four properties and 72 units – following earlier openings at Plaza de la Merced, in the Trinidad neighbourhood and opposite the Roman Theatre.

“Málaga is one of the most dynamic and sought‑after cities, and continuing to grow here with a fourth asset reinforces our ability to operate a strong network in key destinations,” said Antón de la Rica, co‑CEO of LHG.

Overall, the operator manages a portfolio of more than 2,300 units across six European markets – Spain, the UK, Portugal, Italy, Greece and France. In Spain alone, Líbere has 1,543 units, of which 1,072 are already operational.

All Iron RE I Socimi Expansion

For its part, the REIT reaches its tenth property and 481 units in operation with this opening, compared with a total pipeline of 867 units.

“With this inauguration, we are taking another step in our growth and consolidation strategy in key cities such as Málaga. This asset reinforces both our collaboration model with Líbere and our positioning as a leading real estate platform in the alternative accommodation sector,” said Ibon Naberan, co‑director of All Iron RE I Socimi.

Líbere Hospitality Group and All Iron are also present – as operator and owner respectively – in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville, Vitoria and Pamplona.

The opening of Líbere Málaga Plaza del Siglo forms part of the sustained growth strategy shared by LHG and All Iron RE I Socimi, focused on prime urban markets with strong demand and well‑established locations.
