US hotel chain Hyatt has announced the opening of the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa in Murcia, the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Spain and the luxury brand's fourth in Europe.
The hotel, owned by the Hesperia Investor Group, has undergone extensive renovation and has 192 rooms, including exclusive suites. The Grand Hyatt overlooks the hills of the Calblanque Natural Park and the Mediterranean Sea. In addition, the complex also includes a 1,700 m2 wellness centre with spa, beauty treatments and swimming pool.
The new Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa is also home to three 18-hole golf courses, and its Golf Academy and Practice Centre are designed to appeal to amateur and professional players alike. There will also be restaurants offering local and international cuisine.
For large events of up to 400 guests, the hotel offers 8 flexible meeting rooms in a space of 1,288 m2. The space includes a 400m2 'Grand Ballroom' suitable for weddings or corporate events, which can also be divided into four separate rooms.
"The expansion of our luxury, lifestyle and leisure portfolio is central to Hyatt's plan to grow our brand presence across Europe," said Hyatt group president for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Javier Aguila.
"We appreciate our continued collaboration with the Hesperia Investor Group to make the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa a stunning example of how the Grand Hyatt brand delivers on its promise to celebrate the iconic in both the small details and the special moments," he added.
Jordi Ferrer, CEO of the Hesperia Investor Group, stated that "the arrival of the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain through La Manga Club is, without a doubt, an important step for our company and for the Spanish tourism sector as a whole".
