The MIM hotel chain, owned by Argentine footballer Leo Messi, has just opened a new luxury five-star hotel in Sotogrande, Cádiz.
Located in the heart of the exclusive marina, the property offers everything needed for a unique holiday experience: elegant design, a prime location, fine dining and the unmistakable touch of one of football’s greatest players.
The recently opened MIM Sotogrande is perfectly situated by the sea, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean. Its interior has been fully redesigned by renowned interior designer Luis Bustamante, who has infused the spaces with relaxed elegance while incorporating elements that reflect the Mediterranean character.
Managed by the Majestic Hotel Group, the hotel offers a total of 45 rooms, each decorated in a warm, contemporary and exclusive style. The crown jewel, however, is the Leo Messi Suite – a luxurious room that pays tribute to the iconic player and includes a private terrace with sea views.
Every corner of the hotel pays homage to Messi, with one of his eight Ballon d’Or trophies proudly displayed as a centrepiece in the lobby. Even the bathrobes feature his iconic number 10 on the back, and memorabilia from the Inter Miami star’s career can be found throughout the property.
Another highlight is the hotel’s revamped culinary offering, designed to delight both guests and visitors. The main restaurant, Hincha, is led by Michelin-starred chef Nandu Jubany, a leading figure in modern Catalan cuisine. Hincha celebrates football and its fans with an innovative menu that blends local surf and turf with highly personal recipes, including Messi’s famed “Grandma’s Macaroni.”
Alternatively, for a more relaxed atmosphere, the poolside Grandstand is the perfect spot to enjoy tapas, signature cocktails and unwind after a day in the sun and on the beach.
Notable amenities include a fully equipped private gym, a rooftop terrace with an infinity pool offering spectacular views and a wellness area featuring a sauna, heated pool, hydrotherapy circuits and a tranquil massage zone.
