Amazon has added a prefabricated concrete home to its catalogue with a listed price of €54,000.
The 100 m² property includes two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a fully equipped bathroom.
The price sits below €60,000, at a time when access to housing in Spain is becoming more difficult as average property prices continue to rise.
A 100 m² prefabricated house split across two levels
The home is arranged over a 63 m² ground floor and a 38 m² loft. Its layout includes:
- Two bedrooms
- A living room
- A kitchen
- A complete, equipped bathroom
The house is built with standardised independent components, designed for transport in two containers. This is to simplify transport and reduce delivery times.
Solid concrete exterior walls
The most notable detail is the main building material. The exterior walls are made of solid concrete measuring 180 mm thick.
The manufacturer states that this construction provides structural solidity, wind resistance and greater durability than many prefabricated homes on the market.
Inside, the house has eco-friendly latex paint and SPC flooring, a stone-plastic composite described as resistant to wear.
The kitchen and bathroom are fitted with non-slip, waterproof ceramic tiles.
Sliding aluminium-alloy doors with double glazing are also included. The manufacturer presents these as providing improved thermal and acoustic insulation.
A lower-cost housing option for people with land
This prefab house is a potential alternative for people who already have land or can access it. This type of housing is increasingly considered for both a second residence and a main home, due to its size, space and transport arrangements.
