The Spanish towns where rent has gone up the most since 2015

Ocaña (Toledo), Alhaurin el Grande (Malaga), Jodar (Jaen) and Riba-roja de Turia (Valencia) are the towns that have seen the biggest rent hikes between 2015 and 2022, according to the INE's Rental Housing Prices Index (IPVA), with increases of more than 27% in all cases. The first provincial capitals that appear on the list are Valencia (23.3%), Palma (21.8%) or Malaga (21.4%).

Torremolinos (Málaga) reaches 70,000 inhabitants for the first time in its history

For the first time in its history, Torremolinos has surpassed the barrier of 70,000 registered inhabitants, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics. This represents an increase of 2.3% compared to 2022 data, with 1,615 new citizens. Specifically, it has reached 70,434 inhabitants, of which 35,225 are women and 35,209 are men. It is worth highlighting the multiculturalism of the city, which already has 125 different nationalities present. Among these, Moroccans, Italians and English are the most numerous, exceeding the barrier of 1,000 inhabitants.
