We begin our tour in Cantabria. Located between Comillas and San Vicente de la Barquera, and next to the Oyambre Nature Reserve, is one of the best beaches in Cantabria. With two kilometres of white sand and beautiful dunes, this area offers unbeatable scenery.

In addition, La Rabia's sands form a spectacular inlet. In winter, the swells make Oyambre one of the best surfing beaches in the Cantabrian Sea.

Located near Ribadeo, a town along the Way of St. James, Playa de las Catedrales is part of the As Catedrais Natural Area and is world famous for its spectacular coastal scenery. The highlight is its impressive natural arches, which are up to 30 m tall.

This beach in Lugo considered the fourth best in Spain, offers a unique experience, especially at low tide, when you can explore its caves and walk under the natural buttresses of this rock cathedral. It is the perfect place for hiking, kayaking and other outdoor sports. In high season, it is essential to book in advance to gain access.

Cala Granadella: one of Spain's most beautiful beaches

Considered one of the most stunning beaches in Spain, and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Alicante, Cala Granadella is ranked sixth on the list of the best beaches in Spain. It offers a unique experience thanks to the region's fantastic climate. Found in Javea, nestled between cliffs and pine trees, it is an oasis of crystal clear waters and fine sand that wins the hearts of all who visit it. 

This unspoilt cove is one of the most picturesque on the Costa Blanca and has been awarded the Blue Flag year after year since 1989, an award that recognises the quality of its waters and services. It is accessed via the road that crosses the La Granadella Forest Park and ends at the cape of Nao. On several occasions, this cove has been chosen as the best beach in Spain.

Macarella and Macarelleta coves: Mediterranean treasures

Macarella and Macarelleta are twin coves on Menorca's south coast, in Ciutadella. They are regarded among the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean, ranking number 11 on our list. Both form part of the Natural Area of Special Interest on the south coast of Ciutadella and are famous for their turquoise waters, white sands and the beautiful natural environment where they are located.

These idyllic Menorcan coves are only accessible by sea or on foot and are an international attraction; the ideal setting for photography lovers. Their crystal-clear waters, framed by pine-covered cliffs that look as if they are about to fall into the sea, offer a breathtaking landscape. At number 14 of the best beaches in Spain is Playa de Nogales in Puntallana in the north of La Palma.

This beach does not stand out for its golden or white sand, but because of its exotic black volcanic sand and beautiful natural surroundings. Surrounded by cliffs and a lush forest, this beach offers a quiet spot away from the crowds, ideal for those looking for peace and quiet and great views. In addition to its beauty, Nogales is the ideal place for activities such as surfing.

To reach this beach you have to walk for about 15-20 minutes along a path descending the cliff, so you should wear suitable footwear and comfortable clothes.

Caló d'es Moro: a Mallorcan treasure

Cala d'es Moro in Santanyí in the southeast of Mallorca, is an unspoilt cove famous for its crystal clear turquoise waters, fine white sand and stunning natural surroundings. Surrounded by rocky cliffs and pine trees, this idyllic beach is considered one of the most beautiful on the island, in Spain and the world. Thousands of visitors come to enjoy the scenery every year.

Despite its popularity, Cala d'es Moro still has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for enjoying nature. Its waters, perfect for swimming, diving and snorkelling, are home to a rich marine life.

Access to the cove is on foot along a medium-difficulty path that descends the cliff, from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the coastline during the 20-30 minute walk.
