With the arrival of warmer weather, finding a spot to escape the heat becomes a priority for both residents and visitors. In this regard, Valencia’s municipal swimming pools offer one of the best options for cooling off, enjoying the sun and spending a special day out with the family as an alternative to the beach. Discover which pools will be open in 2025.

Municipal swimming pool admissions in Valencia

Entry to Valencia’s municipal swimming pools for the 2025 season is fixed and affordable: €3.35 for adults (16 and over) and €1.70 for children and concessions (under 15, over 65, retirees and people with disabilities) during the day.

Evening sessions, offered at locations such as Parque del Oeste, cost €4.60 (standard) and €3.35 (concessions). Season passes (individual, adult + child, or family) are also available for around €75 via the official Aquaval website (in Spanish).

Parque del Oeste

Parque del Oeste Swimming Pool will once again shine in 2025 as one of Valencia’s most comprehensive municipal facilities. Open since 7 June, it offers over 9,000 square metres of fun, including an Olympic-sized pool, slides, a children’s area, aquasplash and a multi-adventure park.

Its extensive opening hours (Monday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) are complemented by evening sessions every Friday in July and August, featuring shows, music and water activities. The facility also includes green spaces, a café and even a climbing wall with a zip line.

Benicalap

The recently renovated Benicalap Swimming Pool spans 29,000 square metres and features a water park with two large slides, pools for all ages, a zip line and a wide range of recreational activities.

Its chill-out area includes Ibiza-style hammocks and umbrellas, alongside active water zones with waterfalls, cannons and bubble benches. In summer 2025, it will be open from 7 June to 7 September, Monday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and weekends and holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

La Hípica

Located next to the Viveros Gardens, La Hípica is one of the most central and accessible spots for summer swimming in Valencia. In 2025, it will be open to the public from 21 June to 31 August, providing a calm and comfortable space for free swimming in the heart of the city.

Its prime location and relaxed atmosphere make it an ideal choice for those wanting to cool off without leaving the city centre. It could well be one of the closest pools to you in Valencia, thanks to its excellent location.

Castellar-l'Oliveral

At the southern edge of the city, the Castellar-l'Oliveral municipal swimming pool has offered a peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere since 22 June, perfect for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Open swimming hours run Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and weekends and holidays from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Swimming lessons are available in two sessions: mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

El Palmar

Though situated some distance from the city centre, the pool in El Palmar, part of Valencia, is one of the least busy and lies next to the Albufera Natural Park.

This summer, it opens on 29 June, offering an ideal blend of leisure and exercise. Free swimming is available Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., extending until 8:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. The pool also offers all-day swimming lessons for schools and preschools, and is accessible via bus route 25.

Benimaclet

The Benimaclet Swimming Pool is open from 14 June to 7 September, offering a wide range of times and activities for all ages. During June and July, swimming hours are Monday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

From 4 August, opening hours will start at 11:00 a.m., with closing extended to 7:30 p.m. in September. Swimming lessons are also available in July and August, both in the mornings and in two afternoon sessions.
