UNIQ and Edmond de Rothschild launch new project in Barcelona’s 22@

Developer UNIQ Residential and Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management have announced a new joint residential project in Barcelona’s 22@ district, further strengthening a partnership that has already delivered successful developments. The new building will comprise 60 homes and will be constructed on a plot located between Carrer de Bolívia and Carrer de Badajoz, overlooking the redeveloped Plaça de les Glòries, in the vibrant Poblenou neighbourhood.

This project forms part of the ongoing urban transformation of the 22@ district – an initiative launched over two decades ago to revitalise former industrial zones and convert them into hubs of innovation and contemporary urban living. In this context, the development will not only enhance the residential offering in one of the city’s most dynamic areas but also underscore both companies’ commitment to sustainable development and urban regeneration.

The new development builds on the successful collaboration between the two firms, which previously joined forces on the Casa Maury Parés project on Carrer de Mallorca. That scheme comprised 22 homes and a 104-bed senior residence in the heart of Barcelona.

Urban Input, the parent company of UNIQ Residential, has been instrumental in the transformation of the 22@ district, contributing to the development of over 90,000 m² of next-generation office space, Build-to-Rent residential projects, the Hoxton Poblenou Hotel and participating in the remodelling of Plaza de les Glòries itself.
