Formentera
The Spanish islands are famous all over the world and while many holidaymakers will head to the beaches of the Canary Islands this summer, the Balearic Islands shouldn't be forgetten about. The Balearic Islands are also so much more than just Majorca and are full of hidden treasures, such as the small island of Formentera, a true jewel in the Spanish territory.
This island, which receives over 2,800 hours of sunshine per year, was one of the least affected areas by COVID-19 and is the perfect destination to spend a few days of peace and quiet on the many stunning beaches on the island. Take the opportunity to visit La Mola lighthouse, Ses Salines Natural Park and enjoy the breeze of the Mediterranean Sea.
Granada and Alpujarra
The Alhambra, in the city of Granada, is one of the best places to visit in Spain and attracts millions of tourists every year. This summer, with capacity limits due to the coronavirus pandemic, you have the opportunity to visit this magical place with fewer crowds and greater tranquility. But don't let your visit to southern Spain stop there: take the opportunity to visit Granada's Royal Chapel, Paseo de los Tristes, the Sacromote caves, the Mirador de San Nicolás and of course, regain your strength with some of the city's popular tapas.
If you're looking for a relaxing break away from everything and everyone, then you can also spend a few days in the Alpujarra area, where you can enjoy the peace that characterises the white Spanish villages of Bubión, Capileira and Pampaneira.
