La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario has begun work on El Lago Club at its Real de La Quinta residential complex, located between Marbella and Benahavís. It will be completed in 2025 and will become the largest leisure centre associated with a residential complex on the Costa del Sol. It will have a 36,000 m2 recreational lake for water sports, as well as a sandy beach, a golf course, tennis and padel courts and a wide range of gastronomic options.

El Lago Club will have a restaurant area, a golf course and a lake with a beach area and jetty where a variety of recreational activities such as kayaking, windsurfing and paddle surfing, among others, will be available. It will also have tennis and padel courts, an indoor swimming pool and a recreational area for children.

Real de La Quinta is the first urban development project in Spain to be certified by BREEAM, and where several residential developments such as Los Olivos and Quercus have already been built by La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario, part of the Pascual Group.

"We are very proud to announce that Real de La Quinta will be a dream come true in 2025. A unique project on the Costa del Sol that will undoubtedly become a dynamiser of the Malaga economy thanks to the attraction of tourists and foreign investors," says Borja Pascual, CEO of La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario. "The project will be home to around 1,000 homes spread over four developments (Olivos, Quercus, Palmitos and Sabinas) and other future projects.

In addition to the developments and the country club, the complex will house a boutique hotel with around 90 keys and around 42 additional villas. "All this offer will be 100% operational within four to five years," adds Borja Pascual.

The overall Real de La Quinta project will involve an investment of approximately 600 million euros, and is set to become the main focus of international residential attraction in the Mediterranean in the short and medium term, according to its promoters.

A beach, a lake and a golf course in a privileged enclave

The lake, which will have a water surface area of 36,000 m2 and a maximum length of 420m, has just begun construction. It has been designed by Hidroingeni and will be located in the centre of a golf course. The lake will have a 120-metre long sandy beach next to a jetty that will provide access to the water sports area.

On the south side, residents will be able to find the swimming pool area and tennis courts. The golf offer will be completed with an academy area, a short practice area and a long game practice area.

The building of the complex has also been designed by Alex Stewart & Partners and Paula Saco, and responds to the integration of the building in the project, with the least visual impact to always preserve the view of the lake. It will have an integrated, walkable green roof to give continuity to the circular promenade from the hotel to the golf course.
