Good news for Shakira and Gerard Piqué: the former couple has successfully sold one of their exclusive homes in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona, for more than €3 million. Three years after their separation, the singer and former footballer are thus closing another chapter together and moving forward with the division of their assets.

The property is one of three in a private complex built by the couple in 2012, covering a total of 3,800 square metres and valued at €14 million. The two largest residences in the complex remain on the market, with an asking price of €11 million.

The sold residence is remarkable for its modern architecture and extensive amenities, including landscaped gardens, a pool with a waterfall, a gym, a home cinema, a recording studio and breathtaking views of Barcelona. The house features a minimalist style, large bright windows and contemporary furnishings, and has been the backdrop for many family moments.

At the time of sale, tensions resurfaced: Shakira wanted to maintain the asking price of around €12 million, while Piqué preferred a quicker sale, even if it meant reducing the price to €6 million. The final sale price, however, was significantly below their original expectations.

Both are now focused on their individual projects: the Colombian singer lives in Miami, while the former Barcelona defender continues his business ventures in Catalonia.
