Catalonia has been awarded a total of 101 Blue Flag beaches in 2026, matching the figure recorded in 2025 and allowing the region to retain fourth place in the national ranking.
Of these awards, Barcelona province leads with 39 Blue Flag beaches, followed by Tarragona with 35 and Girona with 27.
In the marina category, Catalonia continues to stand out nationally, with 24 Blue Flag marinas, the highest number of any autonomous community in Spain. This reinforces the region's position as one of the country's leading coastal destinations, recognised not only for the quality of its beaches but also for its nautical infrastructure and environmental management standards.
