Madrid ranks among the world’s 20 best cities for quality of life
Madrid has once again ranked among the 20 cities with the highest quality of life in the world, placing 18th in the latest ranking published by the Deutsche Bank Research Institute. The Spanish capital outperforms cities such as Paris, London and New York, having climbed 15 positions since 2019, although it slips two places compared with 2025. According to the report, the main challenge facing Madrid, as well as many other leading cities, is the rising cost of housing.
