Tennis sensation and recent French Open champion Carlos Alcaraz lives in a 90-square-metre prefabricated wooden house located within the Equelite Tennis Academy in Villena (Alicante), Spain. According to Marca, this unique residence is just 30 minutes from the beach and nestled within a sprawling 120,000 m² complex dedicated to training the next generation of tennis stars.

The Equelite Academy (also known as Ferrero Tennis Academy), founded by former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero, has hosted renowned players such as Pablo Carreño and Emilio Nava. The facilities include 20 tennis courts, a gym, restaurant, swimming pool, study rooms, a school, landscaped gardens, and rustic prefabricated houses where athletes both train and live, surrounded by nature.

According to La Vanguardia, Alcaraz initially lived in a compact 25m² prefab unit, where he spent the coronavirus lockdown. He then upgraded to a more spacious 90m² wooden home—a house that once belonged to Ferrero during his reign as world number one in 2003. Other top players like Nicolás Almagro and Guillermo García-López have also stayed in the same residence.

The academy plans to expand its facilities further, subject to urban planning permissions. With talents like Alcaraz and Olympic bronze medallist Pablo Carreño training on site, Equelite remains a cornerstone of Spanish tennis development.
