The refurbishment of the Hard Rock Hotel in Marbella has been completed. After an initial refurbishment, the interior design studio Cuarto Interior has completed the second and final phase of the refurbishment of this establishment with 383 rooms and suites (including a 140 m2 Rock Star Suite), an impressive rooftop, bar and pool, restaurant, gym and a shop. The project has been nominated for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards and the International Hotel & Property Awards 2023.

The Hard Rock Marbella hotel is owned by Stoneweg Hospitality, managed by Palladium Hotel Group and located close to the renowned Playa del Duque beach.
Hard Rock hotels are known for their strong musical character, and the Marbella hotel stands out for its contemporary interior design with local cultural references, ranging from Picasso to flamenco. The architecture studio captained by Germán Álvarez and Jose Manuel Fernández, in fact, wanted to pay tribute to the Ye-yé movement, a movement that "triumphed among the youth of the 1960s in Spain and which sought to break with imposed norms, give free rein to the imagination and live life in full colour", according to Cuarto Interior.

Beyond the nod to local culture, guests can enjoy culinary experiences, an incredible pool surrounded by a lush oasis-like garden, music events and, of course, the 'Memorabilia' music collection. Fans will find historical items such as an Elvis Presley acoustic guitar, a purple satin jacket worn by Prince and sequined dresses worn by Lady Gaga and Shakira.

In addition to its culinary and leisure offer, the heart of the hotel is the sky lounge bar Sun Society, which features an incredible rooftop pool with a VIP bar, located within it, to enjoy the Costa del Sol's good weather in the best of settings.

According to the interior design studio, "the rooftop terrace of the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella promises long hours of fun around its magnificent pool with a unique pattern, set to the rhythm of the music. Different micro-environments have been designed so that each guest can find the outdoor experience they are looking for. Relaxation and intimacy areas are set against a 60s-style bar and a stage fit for any artist".

About the rooms, Cuarto Interior highlights that "the free aesthetic, which flees from conventionalism, is palpable in every decorative detail. Vertical lines are combined with curves, blue, orange and red tones are enlivened with golden touches. The 'Maxibar' area in the bedroom takes us back to the sixties. The wall covering, a customised vinyl wallpaper in muted tones with gold highlights, brings out the touches of colour of the furniture pieces (Sancal), upholstered with the velvet fabrics. In the bathroom, the organic shapes of the mirrors are illuminated with LEDs and framed in gold. In the water area, a contrasting cladding in blue tones stands out, generating an enveloping dynamism for a pleasant shower".
