Foreign buyers now account for 30% of Spain's luxury housing market
International buyers were the driving force behind Spain's luxury property market during summer 2026, accounting for 30% of transactions, according to Walter Haus. Demand remains strongest in destinations such as Madrid, Barcelona and the Costa Brava. The agency estimates that premium properties typically sell for between €2 million and €5 million, while 70% of purchases by foreign buyers are completed without mortgage financing.
