idealista has added a new search filter that allows the user to view only those listings that have a "virtual tour". These are listings that, in addition to photos, use the latest technological graphics that allow you to visit a property from the comfort of your own home. You can have a look around a property from every angle without even having to leave your sofa. In this way, idealista is facilitating access to those listings with the most available information for users, so that house hunters can know if a property fits their needs or not.
Currently, in idealista database, there are more than 20,000 homes that have this feature available. The Community of Madrid has the highest number of virtual visits (7,900), followed by Catalonia (2,800) and the Community of Valencia (2,600), but there are thousands of listings distributed throughout all of Spain.
The listings that a user can access have one of three technological options (several can be combined):
- 3D: this is the most advanced multimedia service in the market to show a property in a virtual way. The 3D virtual tour of the building combines high quality photographs and laser measurement to create a totally immersive 3D model. With 99% accuracy, this option makes it feel as if the user were actually there visiting the property. This option can be a guided tour, by just pressing the play button, or can be controlled by the user allowing you to jump between rooms. This option truly offers a 24 hour open house.
- Virtual Tours: panoramic views of the entire property woven through points of interest that give rise to an interactive visit thanks to an integrated browsable map. This option once again offers users the possibility to see every corner of the house as a free tour. Each visitor will be able to have a look around in the house that interests him or her most. Virtual tours are also accompanied by floor plans to better show the layout of the property.
- Professional videos: this option involves a handheld camera tour of every corner of the property, both inside and out. The video is also accompanied by a plan of the property.
