Spanish actor Antonio Banderas has just said goodbye to one of his most iconic properties after losing all appeals in court to prevent the demolition of ‘La Gaviota’, a villa with a large garden on the beachfront of Los Monteros, in Marbella. The history of this house dates back to the 90s, when these plots of land were declassified as public land in the city to make them suitable for development. In 1995, radio and television journalist Encarna Sánchez rebuilt the villa, and after her death, Banderas acquired the property in 1996.
