In 2023, the number of people in Spain who decided to decline their inheritance reached an all-time high, with 56,108 people opting not to accept. This figure, the highest recorded since the General Council of Notaries began collecting data in 2012, represents an increase of 1.1% compared to previous years.
Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), one of the largest owners of holiday hotels in southern Europe, has invested €35 million to transform and open the Cala San Miguel Hotel Ibiza. This five-star superior hotel is the only one in the cove that gives it its name. It is exclusively for adults and has direct access to the beach.

Barcelona has a problem on its streets. Homes equipped with air conditioning systems currently represent 41% of the entire residential stock, according to a study by idealista. The capitals most prepared for extreme heat are Seville (75%), Cordoba (70%), Valencia and Jaen (66% in both cases). More than half of the houses in the large cities of Madrid (65%) and Barcelona (58%) also have air conditioning.
