85% of Spanish companies will have hybrid working models by 2023, with 64% of companies having already joined this trend, according to a study by IDG Research for Logitech and Microsoft. The study, based on Spanish companies with more than 100 employees and that perform office tasks, covers the future of hybrid work in Spain.

As the document itself explains, more and more companies are giving in to a hybrid model, while companies that are currently unprepared or do not have the resources to implement the hybrid work model will make the leap from next year. In fact, the analysis underlines that the implementation of these new working methodologies will be a determining factor for their permanence in the market.

"The healthcare crisis was not the seed of the new working models, but rather the accelerator of a transformation that was already underway. Now, it is no longer a question of being flexible if conditions demand it, but of creating a new work environment adapted to the new needs and requirements of today's society," explained Logitech's Iberia Enterprise Director, María Jesús Gras.

The commitment to hybrid work environments has been driven by increased work flexibility (71%), increased employee satisfaction (64%), reduced operating costs (60%), improved collaboration (58%) and attracting talent (51%).

In addition, the analysis points out that the implementation of the hybrid work model leads to increased employee productivity in 39% of cases. However, Gras points out that productivity in the post-COVID Spanish business fabric "needs to be redefined, as neither the market is stable nor the value added by the employee is the same"

To address these changes, however, it is necessary to redesign office spaces and invest in enabling technologies. "The nature of work has changed, and is now geared to innovate and solve complex business problems in a collaborative, agile and continuous way," concludes Gras.
