Spain is home to one of the world's cheapest Michelin Star restaurants

The cheapest Michelin Star menus in the world have been announced and a restaurant in the Spanish region of Galicia makes the list with its 26 euro basic menu.

Calling all foodies! The Michelin guide is known across the world for rewarding the best restaurants and chefs for their fine dining and avant-garde dishes with the coveted "Michelin Star". But that doesn't always mean the food will cost you a fortune. The financial portal Top Dollar has identified the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurants in every country, based on a 3-course meal. The cheapest Michelin-starred restaurant is Hostellerie la Montagne in Colombey-les-Deux-Églises in France, where the set menu is 20 euros. The Spanish restaurant Silabario is in 4th place with a menu price of 30.56 dollars, about 26 euros at the current exchange rate, making it one of the cheapest Michelin-starred restaurants in the world

There are Michelin-starred restaurants in 34 countries, and in 5 of them, for example you cannot find meals for less than 100 dollars (about 84 euros at the current exchange rate). One such case is in Norway. The Statholdergaarden, a 17th century house that was converted into a restaurant in 1914 is a restaurant serves classic Scandinavian cuisine at a rate of 1,275 kroner (126 euros) for the set menu.

According to the publication, Hostellerie la Montagne in the French region of Colombey-les-Deux-Églises is the cheapest Michelin Star restaurant in the world, offering a seasonal menu for 20 euros. The top 5 places in the ranking are occupied by European restaurants, with Edvard's (Vienna, Austria) and Borkonyha (Budapest, Hungary) also offering a menu under 25 euros. In fourth place is Spain's Silabario, located in Vigo Galicia, with a basic menu at around 26 euros.

Outside Europe, the most affordable meal is found at Three Coins in Taipei, Taiwan, with a set menu of 1,000 Taiwanese dollars, about 29.50 euros. The cheapest Michelin-starred American restaurant is State Bird Provisions in San Francisco, with a 3-course meal for 45 dollars, about 37.8 euros, where dishes are passed around dim-sum style.
