Hotel investment reached €1.393 billion in the first half of the year, keeping in line with the figures for the same period in 2023, according to the Hotel Investment in Spain report prepared by Colliers. In the first half of 2024, a total of 8,350 rooms have been traded in 71 deals, with 53% of the volume going to the urban segment, which breaks with the trend of the last five years.

Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), one of the largest owners of holiday hotels in southern Europe, has invested €35 million to transform and open the Cala San Miguel Hotel Ibiza. Spain is crowned the most attractive European country to invest in hotels in the latest sector report published by the consulting firm CBRE, which analyses investors' appetite and their preferred investment destinations for 2024.
